Long Absence!

As you can clearly see I haven’t blogged in quite some time. WOW, it’s actually been almost 2 years! While I really enjoyed blogging and truly hope to get back to it one day, life with 3 year old twins(time goes by way too fast!) a 13 year old stepson and managing my business just hasn’t allowed me the time. I finally accomplished my goal with the help of Lisa Fero. I moved to Trumbull over 15 years ago knowing that I would need help with my living room. The living room has a very high ceiling and is the first room you would see as you enter my home. I needed help with design, color and scale. The past 15 years I had just an outdated couch, desk and table. It surely was an unwelcoming first impression and awkward for entertaining. I contacted Lisa and she transformed my living room that now has a purpose. It is a room that is comfortable, stylish and functional. Lisa went above and beyond what I expected from an interior designer. For someone who has no idea on how to decorate a space, Lisa listened and provided me with a variety of options of furniture pieces for me to choose. My living room is fabulous. The front window even has curtains that it never had. The curtains pull the room altogether. I couldn’t have done this project without Lisa. I’m looking forward to having Christmas at my house this year!

I highly recommend Lisa Fero, who is an interior designer. She is helping me put together a beautiful "big girl" bedroom for my 3 year olds, now that they are no longer babies! I was inspired to use her when I saw the stunning nursery she created for her twins, a boy and girl. What a gorgeous place to sleep, I thought! She has found some beautiful items that I never would have found in a million years, and I am very happy with her discoveries. She is also such a pleasure to work with. She understands the craziness of having kids, and trying to get projects done in a busy schedule. She has a website and blog. She uses Pinterest to create a board and pin items she thinks I would like, and it's a wonderful way to get a sense of the ideas and see a variety of options. She has also done traditional design drawings to show me what rooms would look like, and her sketching is excellent. I feel like I knew very well what the girls bedroom would look like just from her sketches. In short, I can highly recommend her. She's a lovely person to work with, the consummate professional, and has great taste.

From then on, I knew the process would be a breeze! The skill and knowledge of your craft is obvious-knowing how to pull together what we had in the room to start, with new elements to create a whole new look, with a calm, beach-y feel. Most important, however, is the designer. You were kind, flexible, and somehow able to help me hone in on what I truly wanted, when I wasn’t sure myself!
